Argemantive appeals

As follows are my own definitions to logo, ethos, and pathos.

Logo: An argument that is trying to prove something.

Ethos: An Argument that has to do with ones background.

Pathos: A type of argument that will involve a viewers emotions. For example some will get mad about what is being advertised, others will get happy and others sad.

The argument appeal that I might consider using for the essay is will be pathos because it deals with emotions.

  1. Do you think that pathos can be connected to ethos?

  2. Ethos has a bit bigger range than just one's background. Ethos has to do with how believable and credible the speaker, designer, or product is. For example, it might be about using a celebrity to sell something because people recognize their names. Does that work for your ad.
Also, it might be useful to think of logos as using facts, figures, statistics, etc. while pathos relies on humor, love, sadness, etc.
