essay two
The thesis for essay two will be on how Myspace is such a good way of meeting individuals as well as keeping in touch with your friends after graduating high school. But I will also mention how important it is for a parent to observe their childs myspace due to the exposure and information that is given out.

I like how you focus on myspace as a tool for communication. However, I think you need to clarify what makes it an effective communication aid. Some of the functions like blogs, comments, and messages are things you could mention. I just think you need to pick a strong argument.
ReplyDeleteI love the new focus on post-high school friends use of MySpace. Maybe you could use your own high school group as an example. What makes you folks use MySpace to stay in touch, what sorts of things are you posting about, what are your goals?
ReplyDeleteKeep the focus on language and the ways the members of the group use communication (via text, images, music, videos, etc.) to perform and build identity and build community.
Great new focus--
Jen
I think it's interesting that you want to emphasis Myspace as a place to make new friends. This can be a dangerous prospect. I also think there is a big difference between adding someone to your friend's list and forming a lasting bond. However I'm sure that is possible. I could definitely see how it is used to keep in touch and possibly strengthen relationships with acquaintances.
ReplyDeleteI like that you observed and will discuss both the pros and cons. Maybe you should research instances where Myspace becomes a dangerous place.
